Yeah, that's my beautiful sister, Crystal.
Crystal and her roommate, Hailey, wanted to get some pictures taken and as you can imagine, I was only too happy to oblige. To date, this shoot was the most fun I've had taking pictures. It was also a chance for me to experiment a little bit. I tried out different lighting and switched up my lenses. I usually shoot with my 18-55mm lens (while a patiently wait/save for a 50mm f/1.4 lens). After studying a bit more on lenses I decided I really wanted to try my 55-200mm lens on a portrait shoot. Several different photographers suggested it as a portrait lens (which surprised me) because you can use the zoom to get a tight shot without having to stand so close to the subject. If you are shooting within a foot or two of the subject the nose tends to widen and ears disappear. Anyway, I tried it, and loved it. Enough gabbing lets move on to some more pictures...

It totally looks like downtown in the little place that I grew up in WY-- Rock Springs... blech, don't know why you'd be there, but it's a SPITTING IMAGE of our downtown... complete with the YELLOW CABOOSE thingy!!!!!!
