I love everything about this baby. It is fast, works great in low light situations (which means I hardly ever have to use my dreaded flash when shooting indoors) and has excellent image quality. The wide aperture also allows for the dreamy blurred background that I crave. Another plus, you can tweak the focus simply by touching the ring. It is my first prime lens which has taken a little getting used to but with all the advantages it brings I am willing to move my feet a little bit more. Anyway enough chatter, have a looksie at what it can do.
Keep in mind this was just a snapshot I took of my little one as she was waking up from a nap. I'm excited to keep experimenting and see what else this lens is capable of. Oh what fun.

I am so glad you came and commented my photography blog, because otherwise, who knows when I woulda figured out YOU have a photography blog too!!! Yay!! :) And I had to stop and comment on this particular blog because I have that same prime lens. I got it in February and I am SO IN LOVE with it too!!!! It's the one I use for all my shoots, except when I use my wide-angle. I do long for a great zoom lens, but for now, these are my two babies. :)
I'm subscribing to this blog now so I can continue to follow your photography! I'd love to have feedback from you on my shoots! I love being in contact with other photogs who share my passion!
Thanks again for stopping by! :)
does it bother you that you have to get back a ways with the set lens?> i want that lens!!!
Wow, she has gorgeous eyes, and that lens makes them look so crisp. Lovely photo!
